We’ve cracked the code to creating effective video content in 2023

Are you struggling to create effective video content that resonates with your target audience? If so, you're not alone, watch this weeks video to learn more about our proven method and take your video content to the next level.

Before creating any video content, you need to first understand what it is that you want to achieve by making the video in the first place.

This could be increasing brand awareness, generating leads, or educating your audience, but whatever it is, knowing your goals before you start filming will greatly increase your chances of it being a success.

It may seem simple, but that’s just one small example of how me and the Blackpoint Media team are cracking the code to creating effective video content in 2023 - if you want to learn more then make sure you stick around.

So, my next piece of advice is that once you’ve decided on what the goal of the video is, from here you need to define your target audience as this will help you create a video that resonates with them specifically. You need to understand the interests and pain points of that demographic and then use this information to create content that speaks directly to them.

Don’t make a video so broad and generic that it ends being not being very useful. If you have multiple target demographics then you’re better off making multiple videos, each targeted towards a specific set of people.

But how do you communicate your message effectively? Well, your videos should always have a clear storyline or narrative that flows logically from start to finish.

At the beginning, within the first 10 seconds of the video the viewer should be able to understand exactly what they video is about and ideally the question it’s going to answer so that it gives them reason to stick around.

If you fail on this first hurdle, the likelihood is that most people will just click away.

Once you have them hooked, don’t forget that video is a visual medium, so it's essential that you use engaging visuals that capture the viewer's attention. Make sure you use high-quality images, graphics, and animations that help to illustrate and reinforce your message.

Remember, attention spans are short these day, so it’s best to keep your videos short and sweet. Ideally, your video should be no longer than 2-3 minutes, but in general, the shorter the better.

I cannot emphasise enough how much better it is to have multiple short videos than just one long marathon of a video that loses the viewer’s interest.

If this all seems like a lot, that’s because it is - it takes a lot of thought an dedication to make good content, but that’s the whole purpose of our job as video producers - we take the vast majority of this planning off your plate so that you can focus on doing what you do best, which is running a business.
